California's first billionaire-by-lottery is said to have been bought at a store in Altadena.
After lottery officials delayed the Monday drawing for the winning numbers, there was a lot of speculation about a winner.
Just before 10:00 a.m. The winning ticket was purchased at Joe's Service Center in Altadena and matched all six of the numbers in the delayed drawing.
An estimated $1.9 billion was reported Monday night, but it was later revised to $2.04 billion. The previous record was shared by winners in California, Florida and Tennessee.
The state's first lottery grand prize was over a billion dollars.

There were five winning numbers in the drawing held in Florida. There was a red number on the drawing board.
The Monday evening draw was delayed due to a security issue. The security issue was not confirmed by them.
According to the California Lottery, there was a 1 in 29 million chance of a winner.
