The country just hosted a massive tech event, Asia Tech x Singapore, which brought together 16,600 hybrid attendees from 93 countries and regions. The latest tech products and services were on display at the Singapore expo, as well as more than 350 speakers who shared their expertise at 200 conference sessions. Asia Tech x Singapore, Asia's flagship technology event, was held in Singapore from May 31 to June 3. The largest tech event in the region is ATxSG. In Singapore, it is the first in-person event of that scale after the country reopened to full-vaccinated travellers. Singapore is a great place to hold this event as the country is at the forefront of technological innovation. The four-day event kicked off with the exclusive invitation-only ATxSummit held at The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore which gathered more than 2,000 guests and 80 speakers from 30 countries to discuss current and emerging tech issues. The future of artificial intelligence was the focus of the ATxai conference. The ATxInspire highlighted female leaders in tech. ATx enterprise and ATx impact took place at the same time. 600 people from all over the world attended the event. More than 17,000 hybrid attendees attended the event in Singapore. After the full reopening of Singapore to fully-vaccinated travellers, the industry in Singapore is expected to recover. In the first three months of this year, Singapore hosted more than 150 events that attracted at least 37,000 delegates. The country is going to host several marquee events in Q3 2022. The Food and Hotel Asia will be held in September and the Food and Hotel Asia will be held in October. Singapore is a great place to do business. This is the best place for us to host events as we give our delegates confidence that this is a good, safe, and conducive place for us to run business and have face to face meetings. In Singapore, the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions are using sustainable ways to hold events. Plastic bottles were exchanged for paper cartons for refreshments at the recent ATxSG event. Physical copies of the agenda and guides were not provided. The event used technology to create digital guides. The summit used a hybrid format that included a physical event and a rich virtual experience. Online attendees were able to have the same experience as the audience in person. Going forward, having a digital event and virtual audience allows us to reach out to a much wider audience across the world. Chi Hsia Foo, assistant chief executive of the IMDA, said that the opportunity for some people to gather to have that conversation and yet be able to reach out to a larger audience in a very sustainable way. The readiness of Singapore to host large-scale MICE events is highlighted by the recent ATxSG event. This proves that MICE is back in Singapore. You can learn more about it in Singapore.
