It was an amazing sight to see the moon pass through the Earth's shadow.

There was a copper-red moon that was visible across North America, Australia, Asia, the Pacific and South and Central America. It was the second and last lunar eclipse of 2022, and the last total lunar eclipse until 25 years from now.

The November full moon is also known as the "Beaver Moon" because it is an animal's nickname. Click the arrows above to view some amazing photos from around the world.

The photo of the blood-red moon above was captured by observer Ron Delvaux in Arizona and provided to the Virtual Telescope Project during a livestream broadcast.

The partial phase of the lunar eclipse was taking place in Australia. Much of Australia and New Zealand were able to see the eclipse, as well as parts of Asia, the Pacific, Central and South America and all of North America.

Blood Moon meets moon rocket

The Artemis 1 moon rocket was on the launch pad waiting for a trip to the moon. The rocket was supposed to be launched a week after the lunar eclipse.

Even though a potential Hurricane Nicole was closing in on the launch site, the photographer was able to take a photo of the giant Space Launch System megarocket with the blood moon. Josh Dinner said that NASA canceled a larger lunar eclipse photo session due to the storm.
