At 3:02 a.m., the lunar eclipse began. The beginning of totality was at 5:16 a.m. The eclipse ends at 8:56 a.m. The time is 1358 hours.

The total lunar eclipse occurs when the full moon moves into the deep umbral shadow of the Earth and is visible from North America and parts of South America and Australia. The total lunar eclipse can be watched on Space.com, thanks to several broadcasts from observatories across the US.

The eclipse from Ceccano, Italy, is being streamed on the project's website. The lunar eclipse can be watched on the observatory's YouTube channel. The observatory in Los Angeles, California will have a live stream of the lunar eclipse on their website.
