Dan Jackson, the defensive backs coach at Commodores, will step back from his job while the university reviews his comments on social media.

Several questions and concerns have been received over Jackson's comment on Facebook. The issue was referred to the Equal Opportunity and Access office.

The university needs to follow its standard process and conduct a thorough review of the incident. During the Equal Opportunity and Access office's review, coach Jackson will take a break from his responsibilities with the team.

Jackson apologized for making a comment about Ye being two steps ahead of everyone else. The situation was being handled internally according to the statement.

Ye has lost sponsors due to antisemitic comments. He was suspended from both social media sites after his posts.

The Commodores have lost 26 straight SEC games.
