I can't change my screen name My bio can be changed. My screen name isn't mine. It wasn't possible for me to describe myself as "Elizabeth Lopatto (parody)"

I received the error message “fail” when trying to change my screen name on Twitter. This is a screenshot of that message

I have heard that Musk is trying to hire some of the people he fired. People have been changing their screen names in order to be excommunicated. According to David Sacks, an investor in Musk's deal, the account must indicate a parody account. I can't do it.

Impersonation is not free speech according to Sacks, who is an advisor to Musk. I wonder if this is because Musk is upset that he is being ridiculed by users of the site he purchased. He said yesterday that any account that impersonates without specifying "parody" will be permanently suspended. Any name change will cause a loss of verified checkmark. I suppose I wouldn't be verified anymore if I changed my name to Liz.

A second failure message on Twitter’s website, reading “Deny” when trying to edit a profile
Can’t change my nickname to Liz, either!

I don't know what's causing this problem, but I'm not the only one. Alex can't change hers. Jay Peters, Tom Warren, and Sean Hollister can't. Mitchell Clark can. Cranz, Peters, Warren, and Hollister are all verified. Clark isn't

I have sent an email to the PR department, but I don't think there's much left. Will keep you updated if I hear something.
