The Blue subscription is expected to get an update any day now. Priority in responses and searches is one of the new perks of the update. The price of the update increased from $5 to $8.

Over the weekend, we asked our readers if they would pay $8 for the service given the new perks. 80% of our readers said they wouldn't pay the $8. Fourteen percent said they wouldn't mind paying up, while five percent were on the fence.

A reader on the social networking site says they won't add it to their list of subscriptions.

I don't think so. I'm already nickel and diming myself with a lot of online services. It was a hard pass.

Some readers said they wouldn't pay for the social networking site, while others said they would rather read a newspaper.

"If $8 promotes the "free speech" utopia that Elon Musk is saying it will, I believe that it is my decision to make," reads a comment from reader Peter Hace.

NOX says they have recently become a fan of Musk and could be swayed to pay $8.

I might be able to support him on his social network. I'm recently a fan.

The build for the update was accidentally rolled out to the devices over the weekend. According to recent reports, the roll out will happen after the elections in the U.S. on Wednesday.
