The Atlanta Braves won 101 games and narrowly beat the New York Mets for the NL East title. Brian Snitker is a Manager of the Year finalist, Max Fried is assured of a top three Cy Young finish, and the pair of Spencer Strider and Michael Harris II could occupy the top two spots for rookies of the year.

Michael Harris and Spencer Strider are both NL Rookie of the Year finalists. St. Louis' Brendan Donovan joins them.

Good luck debating Harris and Strider.

There are clear favorites for the four biggest awards.

The Los Angeles Angels had a reason to watch Shohei Ohtani on a nightly basis.

Voters will give Judge's dominance at the plate its due.

The New York Yankees outfielder set an American League record with 62 home runs while leading MLB in batting average (.450), on-base percentage, and WAR. The next closest player was the San Diego Padres'Manny Machado.

The idea of a contract year was taken to the next level by Judge.

There is only one drama when it comes to the American League's Most Valuable Player. If Ohtani or someone else other than Judge gets one of the first-place votes, many Yankees fans will be upset.

San Diego doesn't get to the playoffs without the six-time All- Star third baseman.

Paul Goldschmidt was the NL's leader in offensive threats. He led the league in both categories and set career highs in both categories.

Nolan Arenado could help his teammate in the voting for the Most Valuable Player award.

Paul Goldschmidt and Nolan Arenado are both finalists* for the National League MVP.

The most logical choices for the Cy Young Award are the Houston Astros' Verlander and the Miami Marlins' Alcantara.

Father Time doesn't understand Verlander's defiance. After returning from Tommy John surgery, the right-handed pitcher went 18-4 with a 1.75ERA and a 2.49FIP.

It was obvious that the Tommy John procedure would be the beginning of the end for Verlander. He is going to add a third Cy Young to his resume.

He was one of the workhorses for the team. His 228.2 hours were more than any other pitcher. The six complete games he played were the most in a year.

9 more days until Sandy Alcantara is announced as the NL Cy Young winner

The pitcher was more than just an eater. In his 32 starts, he had a 2.28 earned run and a 2.98 FIP.

Ultimately, it’s Sandy Alcantara’s for certain now and I hope he won unanimously. But I really think it should’ve been pretty close between him and Nola.

The awards will be handed out on November 14. The Manager of the Year will be announced on Nov. 15 and the Cy Young reveal will take place the following day.
