John R. Tyson, the CFO of Tyson Foods and an heir to the Tyson family, was arrested over the weekend for a drunken incident less than six weeks after his appointment as the overseer of the meat giant's finances.
Tyson was booked for criminal intoxication and public intoxication in Washington County, Arkansas.
According to an arrest report obtained by local NBC affiliate KNWA, a woman in Arkansas discovered Tyson sleeping in her bed and called the police.
Tyson Foods is aware of the incident but refused to comment on the personal matter, according to the company's spokesman.
Tyson is the son of Tyson Foods Chairman John H. Tyson and the great grandson of the company's founder. The younger Tyson took over as CFO on September 27 and stepped into the role on October 2.
We think John H. Tyson and his family are worth over $3 billion.
It's at least a million dollars. Tyson gets a base salary of $650,000 and a performance-based bonus of $585,000 to $715,000, according to the company.
The CFO fell asleep in the wrong house.
