  • More features will be added to the player in future releases.

The team at YouTube has launched a version for TV screens that is similar to the one for mobile devices.

The new shorts player was shown off in a post on Monday and is already hitting TVs. The experience on mobile devices is similar to the Shorts experience on mobile devices, but without the standard playerUI.

It's easy to navigate theUI. You can skip to the next Short if you press the down button on your remote or if you press up. You can see information about the Short, including the creator and sound being used in the clip, by pressing the right button.

There are various ways in which to display shorts on TVs. There were different versions with different types of shorts on either side of the current video. The team ended up with a look that displayed one video at a time. The Ambient Mode that bleeds some of the video colors beyond the video borders can help fill the empty space on the sides.
