Netflix is making a Gears of War movie and an animated TV series

The streaming service announced on Monday that it is planning a slate of adaptions of the game. The first film is a live action feature film, followed by an adult animated series. The Coalition, the studio that manages theGears of War franchise, will be working with the streaming service to bring the game to it's service. There isn't any information about the release of the adaptation.

The firstGears of War game came out in 2006 and the announcement is on the 16th anniversary. Since then, the series has had a number of sequels and spinoffs, including one themed around a toy store.

TheGears of War is the latest video game franchise to be added to the list of shows on the streaming service. A live-action BioShock movie is one of the video game adaptions that the streaming service is working on.
