Daniel Kaluuya isn't coming back for the sequel to Black Panther, but he is going to be in a sequel. The Oscar-winning star of Get Out and Nope will voice Spider-Punk in the sequel to Spider-Man.
The Hollywood Reporter broke the news that the casting would continue over the next few months. According to Phil Lord and Chris Miller, there are more than 200 characters in the movie, compared to 40 in the first film. The first film took place in six dimensions. It's a bigger movie than the one that won the Oscar.
Spider-Punk's inclusion in the film is confirmed by the leak of early merchandise. There was a Spider-Man mask with spikes on it. The punk rocker is actually a person.
The cast includes returning actors Shameik Moore, Hailee Steinfeld, Oscar Isaac, Brian Tyree Henry, Luna Lauren Velez, and Greta Lee, as well as new additions. They will be directed by Kemp Powers.
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse follows the adventures of Miles and Gwen as they attempt to save not just one universe of Spider- people, but many. The trilogy capping Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-verse will be released on March 29, 2024.
