There is a chance that Irving won't have a career in the NBA.

One general manager told Sam Amick of The Athletic that they don't think he'll be playing in the NBA again.

Only one of the five front-office heads and six other executives showed any interest in adding a guard to their own team, despite the fact that other executives were more confident in Irving getting another chance.

Someone will want him, but he won't be on our team. They do everything for his talent.

Irving was suspended for five games by the Brooklyn Nets for promoting an antisemitic film and failing to repudiate antisemitism after the film was released.

There are six actions Irving must complete before he is allowed to return to work.

There was a low opinion of the 30-year-old around the league during the off-season. There weren't many options for Irving when he was considering declining his player option and becoming a free agent.

Irving played just 29 games in the regular season because he didn't get the vaccine.

The Los Angeles Lakers were the only team that was interested in him.

If the Nets decide to move on from Irving, there could be limited opportunities for him.
