The in-your-face Hummer EV pickup truck was launched in the year 2021, and will be followed by an SUV companion in the years to come. An electric bike is joining the Hummer family.
Recon Power Bikes, which is building the bike for GMC, says the Hummer EV All-Wheel-Drive Ebike will go on sale in December. It's just as crazy as the pickup truck it's based on.
Unlike the Hummer EV, the e-bike will come with all-wheel-drive, with one driving the front and one driving the back. The e-bike is designed to thrive on off-road trails just like it's big brother.
There are three ways to drive. Rear-wheel drive is used to maximize range and efficiency. Recon Power Bikes says that traction uses front-wheel drive. Adrenaline takes advantage of the two motors to perform at their best.
A top speed of over 28 mph is claimed by Recon.
The bike will be sold at a starting price of $3,999. The first electric Hummer is priced at $108,700.
Car brands often slap their brand names on other companies' bikes.
Rivian is an EV startup that sells an off-road pickup truck that competes with the Hummer.
In October, Rivian's CEO and founder said he was excited about the e- bike space. The company has a trademark for e- bikes.
