Michael Thomas was put on the IR due to a toe injury. There is a time and a place.

Andy Dalton did enough in the first half of the season to earn the starting job over JameisWinston.

He will have to face his prime-time troubles.

After being named the starter over a healthy Winston last week, he responded with an efficient win against the Las Vegas Raiders, finishing with two touchdown passes and a 117.4 quarterback rating.

According to Dennis Allen, the job is his for as long as the offense continues to click.

"Andy's starting, and if we continue to play like we have on offense, which is what our expectation is, Andy will be the starter moving forward, and I don't think we should get into any hypotheticals or things like that." We'll see how that goes, it's his show right now.

The Baltimore Ravens are coming to town for "Monday Night Football" on Monday, October 30. There is a game at the Superdome.

For a long time, the Saints thrived at home, even though they have lost three prime-time games in a row. Allen thinks that they went 6-1 in those games in the last two years.

Allen said that the atmosphere in the dome is probably as good as he has ever seen.

Chris is looking forward to his first game.

"I heard it's going to be crazy." Are you talking about prime time in the dome? I can't wait to have a prime time game in New Orleans because the games are loud.

The lights are not as bright as they used to be. He hasn't won a prime-time game since September of last year.

His last start as a starter was against the Broncos.

One of the worst outings of his career came in a 24-3 loss to the Cleveland Indians. The quarterback had a passer rating of 2.0.

The man said that never came to his mind.

"Obviously, early on, we had some prime-time games against some really good teams and weren't able to come with victories in those games," he said, "but it's not something I'm worried about."

After the third week of the season, the job went to the man who was signed in the off-season. After getting hurt in the first game of the season, the Saints sat him for two games to make sure he recovered.

During his time as the starter, he has averaged 235 passing yards a game. He has passed the ball to nine different players this season, compared to four for Jameis.

Getting a win in a prime time game would be the next step for the quarterback after Allen named him the starter.

In the Week 7 loss to the Arizona Cards, he threw four touchdown passes, but also threw three first-half picks. His production earned him the start.

Allen said that the team played well last week. We had a lot of confidence in Andy and the offense since he's been there. I believe that confidence has been present.

The Saints have had their issues on offense, but they have started to click in the past few weeks, creeping up the rankings, where they currently sit at No. 4 in total offense (394.4 yards per game) and No.

They are eighth in rushing yards and ninth in passing yards even though they have lost wide receiver Michael Thomas for the season.

The bright spot has been some guys stepping up and making plays for us. The other day,Marquez Callaway made a nice catch on the slant route to convert a first down, and Kevin White caught a deep cross against Arizona. All those guys stepped up and made plays when their number was called.

As he prepares to face the Ravens, he'll have to overcome some bad statistics. The worst of any quarterback with at least 15 prime-time starts since 2000 would be if the Saints lost to Baltimore.

The streak of losing by at least 17 points was broken with the 42-34 loss to the Cards in October.

Allen doesn't care that much.

Allen said there had been no discussion of that in the building. I don't think it matters if we're playing at 9:30 in the morning or 7:30 in the evening. I think Andy can do well there.
