Half of the company's workforce was fired last week. Some of those employees are being asked to return.

According to a new report, the social media company is trying to get many of its employees to come back. A list of names to invite back was put together by the company after they reached out to employees who were let go.

Some of these people were laid off by mistake, while others were let go, but then the management realized they were needed to build the new features Musk wanted.

An example of this is an exchange between Musk and a publisher on November 1st. SillyRobin replied that Musk has fired the team working on that particular feature, before listing more examples of Musk or his associates talking about new or upcoming features after they've been fired.

Last week, 3,700 people were laid off via email. The layoffs were necessary as the company was losing over $4 million a day, Musk said in a statement.

Musk has been busy with updates on upcoming features and improvements for the social networking site. The blue checkmarks will be delayed until after the election.
