Prominent right-wing pundits have criticized former President Donald Trump for making fun of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
Both Trump and DeSantis have distanced themselves from one another and are expected to clash for the Republican presidential nomination in 2024.
At a rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday, Trump called Ron DeSanctimonious a liar.

Matt Walsh said it was a dumb nickname.
DeSantis is an effective conservative governor who has had success in policy and culture. Walsh said that Trump wouldn't be able to take this one down with a nickname.

The author of a 2020 book defending Trump also slammed the nickname. If you can convince Donald Trump to stop being undisciplined and saying stupid things, that's the biggest favor you can give him.

Trump's press office did not reply to Insider's request for comment.
At a Miami-Dade rally on Sunday, Trump called on his supporters to vote for Ron DeSantis. He was not invited to the rally.
He had to compete with Trump for voters' attention by hosting his own events on the last Sunday before the election. He did not mention Trump in his speeches.
