The platform will permanently suspend accounts that are not clearly labeled as parody, according to Musk.

As the platform rolls out paid verified badges for all users, Musk warned that they will have their accounts suspended immediately without warning, unlike previous instances.

Musk said that any account name changes will result in a temporary loss of the verified badge if they are not agreed to.

Several verified users on the social networking site changed their name and display image to impersonate Musk and then sent a series of spoofs.

The social media platform's plans to sell verified badges will empower the voice of the people, Musk said.

Musk was accused of being hypocrites when it came to free speech after several verified accounts were suspended. Musk said that his commitment to free speech extends even to not banning the account following his plane.

Key Background

Last week, Musk announced that he was going to charge a monthly fee for the verified badges as part of his new subscription plan. Musk and his colleagues wanted to show that this was an effort to fix a broken system and open the blue tick badges to all users. Critics pointed out that under the new system, there will be no verification process in place to make sure users are who they say they are. According to a report, there will be a delay in the roll out of verified badges for blue users.

TWo needs to become the most accurate source of information about the world. Our goal is that. Jack Dorsey, one of the co-founder's of the company, responded "accurate to who?". Outside of expressing remorse about the mass layoffs at the company, Dorsey has remained silent about Musk's handling of the company. The Community Notes feature formerly known as "Birdwatch" will be used to judge the accuracy of atweet. Musk said that he gave him "the creeps" after the exchange over the name of the feature.

The verification badges will be offered for a fee after the midterms.
