As the Brooklyn Nets' tumultuous season continues, some are encouraging the governor not to hire suspended Boston Celtics head coach Ime Udoka.

The NBA reporter says that strong voices have pushed Tsai to hire someone else to take over for Steve Nash. Brooklyn has had a lot of turmoil this season.

The Nets seemed to be on an ideal path.

They had a Big Three of Kevin Durant, James Harden and Kyrie Irving, and they had a chance to win a title. Harden was traded to the Philadelphia 76ers after he missed time because he was unvaccinated against COVID-19, and other players were injured.

The Nets were swept in the first round of the playoffs by the Celtics, and the rumors of a trade for Irving and a firing of Sean Marks began to circulate.

The organization supported Nash during the off-season but eventually fired him. Irving was suspended by the team after he promoted an antisemitic film on his social media accounts.

Udoka was reported to be the "strong front-runner" for the position.

Udoka was suspended by Boston ahead of the 2022-23 season for leading the Celtics to the NBA finals.

An independent law firm investigated the coach and found that he used crude language in his dialogue with a female subordinate before he had an improper workplace relationship with her.

He used "verbiage" that wasdeemed especially concerning coming from a workplace superior and made a return after just one season.
