The shock in the Las Vegas Raiders locker room was obvious after their latest record-setting come-from-ahead loss.

Maxx Crosby didn't know if there was a silver lining in the loss, but Hunter Renfrow said the goal was to stay positive. The quarterback preferred to keep his thoughts to himself while the receiver spoke freely.

After talking with Carr, Adams said there was no reason why they should be losing games like this. It's one thing to play for a s---ty team. That isn't what it is.

Las Vegas lost its third game of the season after holding at least a 17 point lead, falling to 2-6 under new coach Josh McDaniels. The team was 14-7 and made the playoffs last season under interim coach Rich Bisaccia.

The Raiders have lost three times this season after leading by at least 17 points, tying the record for most such losses by any team in the history of the league. Before this year, the Raiders had never lost two in a row.

For the first time in league history, a team has been blanked and blown a 17-point lead in back-to-back games, as the Raiders did over the past two weeks. The only team to do it more than once is the Raiders.

The Raiders had won 52 of their previous 54 games when leading by at least 17 points.

The fact that the Raiders had started by throwing the ball to Adams was a source of embarrassment. In the first quarter, Adams had nine catches on nine targets for 146 yards and a touchdown. Adams had at least 100 yards receiving in a half for the first time in his career.

Adams had one catch for no yards on eight targets.

The way we were attacking in the first half was successful. We got away from that and started playing the game in a different way.

Adams said he wasn't taking a shot at his coaches.

"But at the end of the day, if I'm rolling in certain situations like that, or if the pass game is something that's helping us move the ball and win games, then, obviously, that's the idea." You want to stick with what works.

Josh Jacobs is one of the best running backs in the league and the Raiders want to have a balanced offense.

I also understand that if it isn't broken don't fix it. I think at the end of the day, we don't need to make it any more exciting than it already is.

We put ourselves in a good position moving into the second half, but then we fell apart. I'm not sure how to describe it. It's hard to understand. We shouldn't be losing games at the rate we are, and over the middle at the end of the game, I have to make a play on that ball.

Carr kept a low profile when asked about the Raiders blowing their third 17-point lead.

If I'm honest, I don't need to say it here," he said. We'll talk about man to man and other things in the house.

Most of Adams' success in the first half came against single coverage, according to the head coach.

He apologized for the performance in New Orleans and said the collapse was due to not playing well. The Raiders practiced at the academy.

I don't think our team relaxes when we have that situation, but that may be the wrong thing, you know what I mean? The man said, "McDaniels said." Some stretches of football are good. Good enough to get ahead but not good enough to lead.
