There is a list of talented free-agents at the position.

Jon Heyman of the New York Post is reporting that the Boston Red Sox are expected to opt out of the contract of the middle man. According to Heyman, Carlos Correa is expected to do the same with the Minnesota Twins, which would mean the list of free-agents at the position would include him.

According to Heyman, the Red Sox would prefer to keep the player.

He would have made $20 million a year for the next four seasons if he stayed locked into his contract.

He will get what could be the last major deal of his career even though he is in a position of strength. He has two World Series titles and four All-Star selections.

He had a slash line of.307/.377/.456 and hit 15 home runs. He was a bright spot for the last-place team in the American League East.

There is some additional context for Boston when it comes to the contracts ofaerts and Devers. Mookie Betts was traded by the high-profile team to the LA Dodgers.

The Dodgers won the World Series with Betts in the lineup.

Heyman previously reported that the mistake of trading Mookie Betts raises the importance for Boston when it comes to the decisions of the Bogaerts and Devers, as well as appeasing a fanbase that is still upset with the previous decision.

The RedSox will have to compete with other teams on the open market, as they seem to be getting ready to free agent.
