In the first half, Cincinnati's Joe Mixon scored four of his five touchdown in the first quarter. Affirmative.
There have been no running backs in Cincinnati who had a game like Joe Mixon had.
In the team's 42-21 win over Carolina on Sunday, Mixon set a franchise record for the most touchdown passes in a game. A 14-yard touchdown by Mixon in the third quarter set a new record.
"To come out here and have a complete game and pass protection when my number was called, and then deliver for my teammates, and be able to hit the right holes and do all the things to have a complete game."
Before Mixon had one of his best days, the mark had been held by three players. The four rushing touchdown that Mixon had was the same number as the one that Dillon had against the TennesseeTitans. The running back caught a touchdown pass at the end of the first half.

Mixon had over 200 yards from scrimmage. He was the sixth player in the Super Bowl era to have at least 200 scrimmage yards and five touchdown.
The rushing attack was under a lot of scrutiny before Sunday. Cincinnati was 30th in the league in rushing yards per game and yards per try. There were many questions about Mixon. Mixon ran for 52 yards less than projected.
On Sunday, things changed against the Panther. Cincinnati scored on the opening drive when Mixon ran for a 2-yard touchdown. That was the start of the game.
Cincinnati's coach said that great players wanted the ball. He is a leader. He's done it well. A lot of these guys know that sometimes their number isn't called as much and then there's a game that's going to hit them right in the face.
In Sunday's game, Mixon ran for 74 yards over expectations and took advantage of good blocking. Before contact, Mixon gained a career-high 104 rushing yards.
