In the Paris Masters final, 17-year-old Holger Rune upset defending champion Novak Djokovic.
The teenager denied the Serbian's hopes of a record-extending seventh Paris title with a 3-6 6-35-7 win.
Since 1986, Boris Becker has been the youngest winner.
When the new world rankings are released on Monday, Rune will be in the top 10.
"I'm not happy that you beat me, but on the other hand I'm happy for you because you're a very dedicated guy who loves tennis and I like your personality," the Serbian said after the match.
It's paying off for you and your future is bright because of the hard work you have put in.
The world number seven broke for a 3-1 lead in the opening set, but the other team broke early in the second to take it to a decider.
The Danes came back from being down in the third to win the match.
He won the title after saving six break points against the Serb.
Four other top-10 players, including Felix Auger-Aliassime, were also defeated by Rune.
"I've watched you since you were a kid, you're one of my favourite players, I've won my first Masters title," he said.
I am happy to share the court with you.
I can't wait to come back next year because I enjoyed my time here.
The men's doubles final in Paris was won by Neal Skupski and his Dutch partner.
They end the year as the world's number 1 doubles pair after winning their seventh title of the season.
