The doomed car was spotted in the ocean off the coast of Carpinteria.

The local sheriff and firefighters were able to find no one trapped in the building.

According to the local sheriff's office, the owner of the car drove it onto the beach because he thought it would be safe. It probably was until the tide arrived.

The owner was told to get his car out of the ocean. Advice from a wise person.
