It's possible that Musk's plan to lay off half of the workforce won't go as planned.

Some Tweeps have been asked to come back by the company according to posts on the Blind app and Insider sources.

A person who asked not to be named told Insider that five employees had been invited back. Goons were quick to realize and ask them back.

One of the sources said that a worker who asked to come back rejected the offer because they thought they would be fired again soon.

According to multiple sources, the founder of the tech-and-democracy focused Platformer newsletter has been told that some of his former employees have been asked to come back to work.

The Blind app, a professional community where verified employees have anonymous conversations, was surveyed by Insider and it was found that some employees who had been laid off had been asked to return.

One user said it was true. I was asked to come back Saturday morning.

They didn't reply to Insider's request.
