The most affordable option or the best- sounding one is what most people are looking for in a soundbar. It is easy to find products that fit one or both of those criteria.

The company's $500 M-Series and its $1,000 Elevate are more expensive than the $700 system. The new M-Series Elevate uses the same drivers as the original, but with a different sound quality. Extra features like wi-fi are not included in the new bar.

One of the rare Goldilocks options that delivers great-sounding 5.1.2 Dolby Atmos in a relatively inexpensive package is the M-SeriesElevate.

It's out of the box.

The ease of setup is one of the main reasons to go for a soundbar over a complete speaker configuration. It uses a mostly wired setup, which may be disappointing to some users, but the process is very simple and straightforward.

You can connect an external device like a streaming box or video game console to your TV with an additional HDMI input. You can use the cables to connect the soundbar to your TV or other device.

The speakers have 3.5mm cables and a power cable. The only wireless component in the core setup is the subwoofer, which syncs to the soundbar automatically when you turn it on, and it is wireless, meaning no cable running through the middle of your room. It's better to put the subs in the middle or rear of the room.

You can connect an echo dot speaker to the M-Series to enable voice controls, and you can pair it with a phone or other device to play music.

The M-Series Elevate will fit in with most people's décor. The surround speakers and sub have the same sleek design as the soundbar, which is covered in a charcoal gray fabric. The surround speakers will stick out from the wall if mounted, but it's not something that sticks out. They can fit on most shelves.

The tiny speakers that come out at both ends of the soundbar are the only visual features. The drivers act as height channels. If it is not your style, you can turn off the lighting in the speakers if you don't like it. If you have limited space, keep in mind that this feature adds a small amount to the footprint.

The setup is easy, but it can be difficult to dial in the settings. The bar is packed with options, and I like the control you have over the listening experience. There is a problem with navigating all these menus.
