World Series: Yordan Alvarez stars as Houston Astros win

The Houston Astros won their second World Series title as they defeated the Philadelphia Phillies 4-1.

Kyle Schwarber hit a home run in the sixth to give the Phils a 2-0 lead in the game.

The Astros hit back through Yordan Alvarez's three-run home run.

The Astros closed out the victory.

The first half of Saturday's game was a pitchers' duel between Houston's Framber Valdez and Philadelphia's Zack Wheeler.

Schwarber hit a sacrifice fly in the top of the sixth to give the visiting team a lead.

As the tension within Minute Maid Park grew, the Astros rallied to put two men on base, before Rob Thomson Wheeler withdrew from the game in favor of one of his key relief pitchers.

One of the biggest - and most important - home runs of his burgeoning career was launched by the left fielder, and it turned the game on its head.

The Astros used an "insurance" run, but they didn't need it, as the Astros' relief corps has been virtually unhittable in the playoffs.

Nick Castellanos flew out to Kyle Tucker in the ninth to complete the victory.

Houston's manager and general manager were fired after the Fall Classic title was ruined by a sign-stealing scandal.

This was the fourth World Series appearance in six seasons for the five remaining players from that year's team.

Having restored some pride to the franchise, one of baseball's most popular figures, has a World Series title on his resume in his 25th season as a major league manager after more than 2000 wins in charge of five different clubs.

I don't know when it struck me. Baker said that when Yordan hit the ball over the moon, out there.

The World Series' most valuable player was a young man named Jeremy Pena, who filled the void left by Carlos Correa when he signed with another team.
