Delta Air Lines has added an option for business class passengers to “Skip First Meal Service” as part of their pre-selections for on board service. The carrier made a big deal of moving from plastic utensils in domestic first class to wood in order to get rid of plastic, but they didn't plan on bringing back metal. They moved from bottles to cans, which are heavier and burn more fuel.

Delta wants customers to cheer them on because of the environment. United Airlines saves money by not boarding enough food.

Delta does not currently have upgraded lounges for international business class passengers like United and American do. That is about to change. There are also plans for a Delta One lounge.
