The astronauts entered the lab module for the first time on November 3. The astronauts have been at the new space station since June when they docked to the station's main module. On October 31st, the new lab module was launched. After arriving at the core module's forward port, it was moved to a different port.

The core module contains the living quarters and service section, the Wentian module contains the avionics and propulsion systems, and the Mengtian module contains both a pressurized section and a backup function.

The crew from the station will soon be joined by the crew from the other side of the moon. Three more crew members will arrive at the station and be with the other crew for 10 days. When the station only had its core module, it wasn't possible for two crews to be on the station at the same time.

The crew is expecting the arrival of the cargo craft which will bring fuel and supplies to the station.
