The changes to the platform for some users were put in place on Saturday in preparation for the launch of the new service.

Users will be able to purchase a blue checkmark and receive a blue checkmark for $7.99 per month, according to updates in the App Store. According to the description in the Apple online store, the updates are available in the US, Canada, Australia, the UK and New Zealand.

The new version of the subscription service isn't available for everyone yet, but a small early group may see updates to the platform.

She wrote that the new Blue isn't live yet but that they are testing and pushing changes in real time. The new blue will come soon!

A new user verification process is one of the ideas laid out by the new owner of the company.

Musk criticized the current system, which gives a blue checkmark to notable users such as politicians, members of the press, executives and organizations. The checkmark lets readers know that the account is legit. Similar verification systems can be found on other social networks.

Musk said he would give power to the people by giving verification to anyone on the platform for $8 a month. He said that subscribers will get priority in mentions, replies and search, receive half as many ads, and be able to send long videos and audio to friends and family.

The App Store listing confirmed those changes. Early access to select new features was promised by the updated version of the app.

Once it's confirmed that it's working in the initial set of countries, Musk said that the service will be rolled out worldwide.

The changes follow a report that said the Musk was considering charging as much as $19.99 per month for the subscription. According to a report, employees working on the project were told to either launch the feature or be fired.

The date of the elections in the U.S. is November 8.
