Movies and shows you can't watch on Netflix's Basic with Ads plan

The new tier is an ad supported one. Concerns that the ad-free version of the streamer was too expensive have been addressed by the new tier. The ad-free version of the service has been around for a long time, but now that it is available, many people are curious about the different ways it is different. All of the content has advertisements. The stuff that isn't currently available on the ad-free version is almost as important.

No comprehensive list of these titles has been released yet, but based on a perusal from Variety as well as other available information, it seems that there are a lot of high-profile TV shows and movies that won't be available at the ad-supported tier. According to some estimates, as much as 10% of the existing content won't be available at the ad-supported tier. A limited amount of movies and TV shows won't be available due to licensing restrictions, and we're going to be working on reducing that over time. Here is the list we have so far.

There are more movies than shows that aren't included in the ad-supported tier, which is likely due to the fact that the majority of the shows on the platform are originals. Three of Daniel Craig's James Bond movies, a number of Oscar nominees and winners, and several other recent titles are included in this list.

There are many horror and action titles that are not available in the ad supported tier. Most of the movies that won't be in the ad-supported tier skew more recent, and it still leaves a lot of movies worth watching on the platform. The ad-free tier is half the price of the new tier.
