Musk's controversial blue check verification subscription is already being rolled out by the social networking site.

According to an updated description on the Apple App store, the company is adding new features to the app. According to the post, which was first spotted by CNBC producer Steve Kopack, the verification feature is available in the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom.

"We're adding great new features to Twitter Blue, and have more on the way soon," the description reads. If you sign up now, you'll be able to get the service for free. The blue checkmark is for power to the people, just like the celebrities, companies, and politicians you already follow.

Existing verified users seemed to still have blue checks. Insider asked if they would respond to his request. Musk wrote that the subscription will be available around the world.

"As soon as we confirm it's working well in the initial set of countries and we have the translation work done, it will roll out worldwide."

Musk's paid subscription model, which he proposed shortly after taking overTwitter, has been the subject of criticism and concern for many.

A variety of new features will be coming soon, including a reduced number of ads, the ability to post longer videos, and priority ranking for quality content, that will allow posts to get boosted in ranking in replies.

The post states that it helps lower the visibility of scam, junk mail, and bot.

Musk wrote on Saturday that the goal is to reduce the number of verified accounts that were given out.

"Too many legacy'verified' checkmarks were handed out, often arbitrary, so in reality they are not verified," Musk wrote. Right now, you can purchase as many as you want with a search. It's a better way to make sure verification is done.
