Kyle Busch will keep his business going. The team will switch to Chevrolet next season and there will be two entries in the Craftsman Truck Series.

Busch has had to navigate his own contract issues and secure a spot for himself in the NASCAR Cup series as the future of his truck series team has been up in the air.

The two-time Cup champion will be leaving his team at the end of the season, and for much of the year he was unsure of his future. The Kyle Busch Motorsports team was left with an uncertain future after Busch revealed a move to Richard Childress Racing.

Busch wanted the team to keep running and keep his employees. The process that led to a two truck team was a difficult one.

Don't worry, trust me. Busch said that if you can imagine an idea or a concept, we have had it on the whiteboard. There were times when it looked as if it was as many as four.

On top of trying to find a Cup ride, the entire process was a lot of stress. Friday Busch introduced his new drivers, Chase Purdy and Jack Wood.

Busch said there were a few sleepless nights where they were unsure of the decisions being made. Also, being able to have the stability of Kyle Bush Motorsports again and to be able to rely on these two drivers for the future and to take us to that next level

The stability of the team and the continued employment of his staff are both important. They are people who work for a living.

Busch said there was a dream and passion that others shared with him. One of those will be our new fearless leader with Danny Stockman. I mean what I say. Four or five months ago, he asked me the same question. He wanted to know why you were putting yourself through this. Why are you continuing to do this? If you just told us what we needed to do, we would do it. I said, "That's not who I am." We're not going to be like that.

The switch from Toyota to Chevrolet has been smooth, Busch said, adding that they already have new sponsors lined up, and no one seems to mind the switch from Toyota to Chevy.

Busch said it was all about the relationships. There are some sponsors that have had good relationships with Toyota. If we can still facilitate those same B2B relationships with the new manufacturer, I don't see why they wouldn't.

Busch said that there were several times when the possibility of the team closing down for good was realistic.

Busch said there was a lot of sleepless nights. I met with a lot of people at the same place. We had a couple of group sessions, team meetings, and talking to everybody and just letting them know what we were doing, and I'm telling you everything, every step of the way.

Busch said he tried to keep things positive and in the end it worked out.

I never had to have a meeting where it was like, 'Hey, I don't know if you want to look, you can look'. We were able to get it. Don't fret, we're getting closer. Here we are.
