Ukraine shares video showing a lone paratrooper single-handedly blowing up a Russian tank

A video shows a Ukrainian parachutist hitting a Russian tank.

The footage was posted on the official account of the General Staff of the armed forces of Ukraine and it shows a Russian T-80BV tank driving down a dirt road and a Ukrainian soldier shooting at it.

An explosion is caused by the weapon hitting the tank. Smoke billows from the tank as it moves, and it appears to try to fire back at the soldier. The small explosion appears to hit the tank.

A tank was destroyed by a single soldier in east Ukraine.

The attack was launched by a member of the 95th Air assault brigade.

Insider couldn't verify the video on his own.

While it is unclear what weapon the soldier was using, Ukrainian forces have successfully destroyed tanks with handheld anti-tank weapons such as the Next Generation Light Anti-tank Weapon.

Russia has lost thousands of tanks since it began its invasion in February.

Heavy fighting was taking place in the country's east as Russian forces attacked multiple locations.
