Some employees of the company have accused the company of firing them without warning, with some saying they lost access to their laptop before being terminated. Musk said on Friday that he had no choice but to reduce the workforce at the unprofitable company.

Musk maintained that the people who were fired were offered a severance package.

Everyone was offered three months of severance, which is 50% more than the law requires.
