Disaster monitoring tools, a service that uses machine intelligence to generate custom videos, and a bunch of new artificial intelligence projects are coming soon from the internet giant. At its event this week, the company announced a number of initiatives.

Disaster tracking and response systems are being expanded by the company. During the 2020 fire season, the company launched a wildfire tracking tool. Satellite imagery, on-the-ground data, and artificial intelligence predictions are used in the tool. The feature is now available in Canada, Mexico, and Australia. It is intended to provide useful info for people in areas affected by fires who need up-to-the-second knowledge about where the fire is moving and who it is affecting. The tool will appear in the Maps section of the internet search engine's website. In addition, it has expanded its flood warning system to include 18 new countries across Africa, South America, and Southeast Asia.

A new video creation tool that combines the Imagen image-generation platform andPhenaki's video generator has been added by the search engine giant. The platforms that work in concert are able to spin up high-resolution video from a text prompt. The public hasn't been given an indication of when or if the video- generation tool will be made available. A month ago, Meta announced a similar service called Make-a- Video. Even though the prospect of artificial intelligence in art has been controversial, both companies are eager to get involved.

Pre-orders for PS Virtual Reality 2.

It may feel like virtual reality for video games has fallen out of favor in comparison to other virtual reality destinations like virtual offices or whatever. Sony wants you to know that it has a new virtual reality headset as well. This week it said when it will be released.

The PS VR2 will be available for pre-order on November 15. The price will be $550. That is more expensive than an actual PS5 console, and the price includes the necessary controllers for games in the Sonyverse.

The system shows a lot of promise if the games that have been announced for it are decent. Only the PS 5 can be used with the PSVR2 headset. The PS VR1 won't work with the last-gen PS.

Is there a place I can go?

Killing its own apps is something the company likes to do. The Street View app is going to be added to the boneyard in the coming weeks. The app allowed users to add their own 3D photos to Street View, which could be used to map out places where its cameras couldn't reach.

The service isn't going away completely A few features like Photo Paths, which let users upload 2D photos of their surroundings, will be removed from the map.
