The annual conference of the Specialty Equipment Market Association took place this week. One of the biggest car shows in the world brings together more than 135,000 attendees in the automotive aftermarket industry to see the latest trends in vehicle repairs and modifications.

The focus this year was on electric vehicles. According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the event was more than 700 percent larger than it was when it first started. A bunch of unique EV concepts were on display. Some of them stood out the most.

Ford

Ford brought 10 vehicles to the show, including three electric vehicles.

Dom Tucci Design (Tucci Hot Rods) and Kay automotive Graphics are responsible for the creation of the mustang mach-e true mustang persona The vehicle has a muscular lift-gate spoiler, fender arches with 3D-printed fender flares, and a 3D-printed front lip.

The Ford F-150 race support is built by Real Truck and Motor City Solutions. Ford says that this electric pickup is comparable to home on the road and at a Baja race as a support vehicle, with a fully mobile toolbox and welding equipment.

Tjin Edition builds the F-150 Lightning Swiss Army Knife. Ford calls it a "jack-of-all-trades" with its solar charging capability, portable air compressor, refrigerator, console vault, and RecARO front and rear seats. There are two bikes on the back of the truck that can be used for two wheelers.

Ford says its personalization and accessories business has increased by 40 percent in the last two years.

Volkswagen

The first ever Electric Vehicle of the Year prize was given to VW by the Specialty Equipment Market Association. The ID.4 was chosen as a leading example of the possibilities in the electric vehicle market because of its ability to handle a variety of terrain.

A Mobile Drone Response Vehicle with a big roof rack is one of the ID.4 concepts brought out by the automaker. The Tennessee Valley Authority wants to have a 100% electric fleet by the year 2030. There is a portable power station and a custom storage unit in the modified ID.4.

The ID.4 accessories concept has a canyon basket to haul gear and a bike rack. The 18-inch wheels are protected with Splash guards.

Nissan

The Japanese car company didn't show up. The Ariya Surfwagon woodie with teal hub caps and two surfboards on the roof was one of the two striking concepts that came to SEMA.

The California-style wagon was made in South Carolina. The Surfwagon has 20-inch wheels with white-wall tires, a roof rack, and a lowered suspension.

The truck will make you happy. The truck has been converted to run on a battery. The Leaf motor has around twice the power and more than three times the Torque as the four- cylinder engine in the Sunny.

Stellantis

The JeepCJ Surge is an open-body, battery-powered vehicle that is meant to showcase the possibility of EV conversion kits for vintage Jeeps. The goal is to give the engineers a better understanding of EV parts kit applications, which could lead to a future product line for enthusiasts to convert their vintage vehicles to EV.

The Jeep is powered by an engine. The frame has a 200 kilowatt motor mounted to it. There are 24 battery modules in the back of the passenger cabin.

The Jeep has a custom roll cage and bikini top, as well as a center console with a shift knob from a Jeep.
