Police in San Antonio are investigating allegations that a former Spurs player exposed himself to a former team therapist.

According to the lawsuit, the 19-year-old exposed his genitals to the doctor nine times.

The criminal complaint was filed in San Antonio, as well as in Bexar County, where the civil complaint was filed.

The victim of the Joshua Primo incident has been contacted by the Bexar County Sheriff's Office. According to the sheriff's office, it was a preliminary investigation into the allegations.

The team's former performance psychologist said in her lawsuit that the Spurs did nothing to discipline or address her concerns despite her numerous complaints about Primo's improper sexual conduct.

She requested a meeting with Brian Wright, the general manager of the Spurs, after the first incident of indecent exposure of her son. She said her request for a meeting in January was put off by Wright until March, during which time she continued to be counseled.

After her contract wasn't renewed in August, she said her role with the team was diminished.

She was angry, confused and sad that Primo had not been disciplined for his actions until the Spurs released him an hour before the game. He did not sign with another team after clearing waivers.

Buford released a statement shortly after the news conference in which he disagreed with the facts.

Before the Spurs played the Clippers on Friday night, Popovich said he couldn't comment on when he was first told about the alleged behavior or what the Spurs did or didn't do. Popovich said the Spurs have worked to keep a healthy work environment.

Popovich said that anyone that has watched the Spurs for a long time knows that an accusation like this would be taken very seriously. The Spurs organization would not be equivocating. I will leave my comments at that point.

Popovich has advocated for various social causes. Fans of the team are troubled by the idea that the Spurs turned a blind eye to the accusations.

Popovich told the fans to think about the statement he made about how the team has handled things over the years. It's in the hands of the lawyers as far as the details are concerned. We are unable to say anything. Everything is cut off by that. I think that over time details will come out. Everyone has to be patient.
