According to reports, MSNBC has cut ties with Tiffany Cross, one day after she called Florida the "d--- of the country."

Cross was fired by the network immediately after they decided not to extend her contract. There will be different roles for the production staff on the show.

According to sources, Cross' relationship with the network was becoming "fraught" and that executives were worried about her willingness to address statements made by cable-news hosts on other networks and her commentary that did not meet the standards of MSNBC or NBC News

Sources told the New York Post that comments Cross made on the show may have been the final straw.

This was thought to be the “last straw” that got Tiffany Cross fired from MSNBC- she calls Florida, “the dick of the country”. Hours later she was let go. pic.twitter.com/JqEXTw7LxU

Panelists were asked what swing state Democrats could afford to lose in the election.

Cross said that it looked like the d--- of the country.

She said that Ron DeStupid, whatever you want to call him, is problematic. I think they're a problem for the rest of the country because he traffics in stupidity and ignorantness. Let's take them out.

Cross came under fire for suggesting that progressives should get involved in the war for survival of the country, though she appeared to be speaking metaphorically.
