Daylight Saving Time should change your phone's battery life. You shouldn't have to do anything unless you've messed with the time and date settings before.

Daylight Saving Time occurs twice a year in the US. We "fall back" an hour later in the year. It's all sort of complicated, depending on where you live. The confusion inevitably leads to people wondering what to do with their phones after the switch.

Daylight Saving Time started at 2 a.m. The end of the show will be at 2 a.m. There is an hour and a half later. The 1 a.m. hour on Sunday will be repeated by the clock going back one hour. We will all get an hour of sleep. That's right!

Will my phone change to/from Daylight Saving Time automatically?

You shouldn't have to do anything. Unless you went into your phone's settings, you won't have to do anything. Your phone will automatically check the network for the correct date and time and switch on its own, changing the system time so that things like calendar and alarms will still be correct.

When other parts of the world move an hour forward or back on their schedule, or if you travel to those places and will still apply in six months, it's the same thing. It gives our phones the correct local time when we fly or drive to a different time zone.
