Hours after Musk said layoffs would be announced on Friday via email, an employee who is eight months pregnant said her work laptop was cut off.

A picture of Rachel Bonn and her baby in front of pumpkins was posted on the social networking site.

On Thursday, a memo was sent to staff telling them that emails would be sent on Friday to let them know if they've been laid off.

An email will be sent to staff who are being let go. Those being kept on will get notice in their work email.

Last Thursday was the last day that it was possible to send a message on the social networking site. There is a 9 month old baby. Bonn was cut off from his laptop at about 10:00 pm. The time is in San Francisco.

Bonn works as a content marketing manager at San Francisco-based micro-blogging site.

The proposed layoffs were the subject of a class-action lawsuit that was filed in San Francisco federal court.

According to reports, the lawsuit is asking the court to stop the company from asking staff to waive their rights to take part in the litigation.

Bonn did not reply to Insider's request for comment.
