The new management will begin layoffs on Friday according to an internal memo. According to the most recent report, half of the employees will lose their jobs.

All employees received an email on Thursday stating that they will be informed of their employment status on Friday. Emails will be sent with the subject line "Your Role atTwitter." If an employee keeps their job, they will be notified via email, if they are let go.

All badges will be suspended and our offices will be temporarily closed in order to make sure the safety of our employees and our systems. Please return to your home if you are in an office.

As staff wait to learn their fate tomorrow, they have been flooding an internal channel with blue heart emojis, according to a post from a staff member.
