Hours after Irving refused to issue an apology for posting a link to an antisemitic work on his Twitter feed, the Nets said that he is not a good fit for the team.
When given the chance to speak to the media, Kyrie refused to say he has no antisemitic beliefs, or acknowledge specific hate speech in the movie. The Nets said that this was not the first time he had the chance to clarify.
It is against the values of our organization and constitutes conduct detrimental to the team if a clear opportunity is not given to repudiate antisemitism. We think that he is not fit to be associated with the Brooklyn Nets.
