Donda Academy was shut down last week, leaving the top basketball recruits scrambling for a new home.
The league announced on Thursday that a Kentucky commit will join Overtime Elite. He won't accept a salary in order to preserve his eligibility.
According to Julius Von Hanzlik, the head coach of SoCal Academy, A.J. Johnson has decided to join the school. According to a source, Jacob Bannarbie will join him at the academy.
J.J. is the name of the person. Taylor will play with a five-star recruit at San Ysidro High in San DIEGO. Chuck Bailey Jr., a four-star recruit, will attend his father's high school.
The student body at Donda Academy was told last week that Ye, the rapper and businessman formerly known as West, had decided to close the school for the rest of the year.
"Our leadership team will be working diligently to assist all families during this transition, ensuring that every scholar has what they need to succeed in their next community in a prompt and gracious manner," the principal wrote. We are going to start afresh in September of 2020.
Last week, officials with the Hoophall Classic, John Wall Holiday Invitation and other events announced that Donda Academy wouldn't be participating in their tournaments.
The latest chapter of Ye has included antisemitic statements and has led to the dissolution of partnerships.
