Many in the Brooklyn Nets organization and the NBA league office were hoping to hear an apology from Irving, but he didn't.

In his first public comments since the news conference, Irving took responsibility for posting that. There were some things that were not true. When you asked me when I was on that stage, I said that it was a documentary. I accept my responsibility.

NBA commissioner Adam Silver was disappointed that Irving had not apologized or denounced the vile and harmful content contained in the film he chose to promote.

Irving stood by his decision to post the link to the film and his postgame comments.

Irving said he didn't mean to hurt anyone. I am not the person who made the documentary.

The news conference was cut short by a Nets PR staffer.

Irving was asked if he had any antisemitic beliefs.

I'm going to keep repeating. Irving said that he didn't know how the label became justified because he was asked the same questions over and over again. This is not going to become a cycle of questions and answers.

I told you how I was feeling. I embrace every walk of life. I sit that way. I can't be antisemitic if I know where I came from.

Irving wouldn't say if he met with the Anti-Defamation League after the Nets and Irving issued a joint statement.

He said that he was told that they wanted to have a meeting.
