A former clinical psychologist for the San Antonio Spurs filed a lawsuit on Thursday accusing the organization of ignoring her repeated reports of indecent exposure by the team's newest draft pick.

According to the lawsuit, the man exposed himself to the woman nine times. Spurs management was made aware of the first incident in December 2021.

The Spurs ignored her complaints, hoping the organization could ignore and then cover up her actions, according to the lawsuit. The Spurs organization was willing to sacrifice a doctor in order to have a star player.

The Spurs had to act after Primo's conduct entered the public sphere. The recent actions taken by the Spurs are not enough. A farce is what the Spurs' public statement is about. The Spurs' conduct shows that they are willing to tolerate bad conduct on the part of athletes and sacrifice loyal employees if they are successful on the court.

Through his attorney, he denied any wrongdoing and lashed out at her, saying she is playing to ugly stereotypes and racially charged fears for her own financial benefit.

"In an act of betrayal against her young client, Dr. Cauthen, who is 40 years old, false claims Josh Primo exposed himself to her during the course of her numerous therapy sessions." Dr. Cauthen's allegations are either a complete fabrication or a gross exaggeration. Josh didn't know that his private parts were visible outside of his shorts.

It's not believable that Dr. Cauthen didn't inform her patient of the exposure. Mr. Primo relied on Dr. Cauthen for his mental health support and therapy. She has a lot of experience as a sports psychologist. Why didn't she tell her patient that his private parts were visible under his shorts?

Tony Buzbee, the attorney for Cauthen, said that his client would file a criminal complaint with multiple counts of indecent exposure against Primo in Bexar County and that he would cooperate with authorities within the bounds of the law.

Less than three weeks after the Spurs exercised his third-year team option guaranteeing a $4.3 million salary for the next two seasons, Primo was released.

The best interest of both the organization and Joshua was cited by RC Buford in the statement announcing his release.

Just days after he exposed himself to another woman during the Spurs' trip to Minnesota, Primo was let go by the team. While in Las Vegas for the NBA's summer league, Primo is alleged to have exposed his genitals.

"Josh Primo's conduct is well outside of the bounds of what is normal and acceptable," said Tony Buzbee at his office in Houston. The conscience is shocked by his conduct. The manner in which the Spurs handled this conduct was egregious and unreasonable.

The women who are alleged to have been sexually assault by Deshaun Watson are represented by Buzbee.

He was hired by the Spurs. Her contract with the organization was not renewed.

According to the lawsuit, Primo exposed himself to Cauthen in December and that she reported it. Exposures happened on a number of occasions and grew more extreme.

Spurs general manager Brian Wright, as well as the team's general counsel, deputy general counsel and head of human relations, failed to respond appropriately when they were told of Primo's conduct in March.

According to the lawsuit, the man was asked to meet with the man again in a public place and that he exposed himself. She refused to meet with him again after that.

They may have been lying when they said that Popovich was aware of the issue.

The team had lost trust in her and Spurs management told her to sit it out, telling her that she could work from home.

"No, this is not okay, to hold people accountable, to make systemic change, and to protect those that suffer in silence," he said. It's the right thing to say "I'm sorry." We need to do better than that.

The organization I worked for didn't work for me. I said something. I asked for assistance. I had choices. My voice and feelings were not heard. I am truly sorry that other people were impacted due to their lack of protection of their assets.
