During Native American Heritage month, we honor the history, traditions and contributions of Native Americans. As a citizen of the Cherokee Nation, I celebrate this month by reflecting and thanking my ancestors, the resilience of my tribe and other Indigenous people, and future generations carrying our tribal traditions forward.

I am proud of the way we celebrate across our products. During the month of November, say "Happy Native American Heritage Month" or "Give me a fact about Native American Heritage" to get a collection of historical facts. Stickball is a traditional sport created by Indigenous tribes.

Five Native American artists were commissioned by us to create a collection of themes for the two browsers. The collection shows important traditions and reminds me of home. I remember listening to the stories of Uktena and other tales from my elders when I was a child. The work "A Lot Meant" reminded me of growing up in Oklahoma and how the policies of the past affected my family.

Each artist's experiences and identities are reflected in these themes. They shared what they did.

  • The primary ravens of red, green and blue came together to create a broad array of colors. On this snowy evening, they might be scheming to create something new.

To add a theme to your browser, go to the Chrome Web Store collection, select a theme and click "add to chrome." Clicking the "Customize Chrome" button on the bottom right will allow you to explore background collections. Choose "Set wallpaper and style" and then select "Native American Artists."
