Ray Guy was a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Guy died on Thursday after a long illness according to the University of Southern Mississippi.
Guy was drafted by the Oakland Raiders in the first round of the football draft.
Guy was named to eight All- Pro teams and led the league in yards per punt three times. He was named to the All-Decade team in the 1970s, the 75th anniversary team in 1994 and the 100th anniversary team in 2019.
Guy is a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. He is the only one who is pure.
The Ray Guy Award was created in 2000 by the Augusta Sports Council.
Guy played both defense and offense for the Golden Eagles.
Guy threw a no-hitter for the baseball team. He was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds, Houston Astros, and Atlanta Braves.
Guy's jersey is one of three that have been retired by Southern Mississippi.
