Brian Kilmeade offered an astonishing dismissal on Thursday of the apparently politically-motivated attack on Paul Pelosi, who was allegedly asked "Where is Nancy?" and aimed to take the House speaker hostage.

They heard the words 'Where's Nancy?' when they brought up Donald Trump and Paul Pelosi. President Joe Biden spoke about democracy in danger on Wednesday.

The FedEx guy said the same thing when he needed a signature. "'Where's Nancy' isn't anything to worry about." When you are searching for Nancy, you do that.

Law enforcement said that the man who attacked Pelosi wanted to find Nancy Pelosi. She was out of town. The suspect told police that he wanted to break the speaker's knee caps and that she was the leader of the pack.

The suspect in the case, David DePape, wrote online that he was defending former President Donald Trump and questioned the results of the 2020 election.

The attack had nothing to do with Trump and everything to do with the crime in San Francisco and the illegal immigrants who overstayed their visas, according to the host.

According to the Department of Homeland Security, DePape did not have legal authorization to be in the U.S.

Biden urged voters to reject his predecessor's "big lie" rhetoric and work to defend democracy in a televised address Wednesday night.

He told the story of the attack on Paul Pelosi at the beginning of the speech. According to court documents, in the early hours of Friday morning, DePape woke the elderly man with a hammer, zip ties and other items and demanded to know his wife's location.

"'Where's Nancy?'" Nancy, where are you? Biden said something in his speech. The same words were used by the mob when they broke windows, kicked in the doors, brutally attacked law enforcement, and erected gallows to hang the former vice president.

Conservatives are angry over accusations that false right-wing rhetoric inspired the attack on Pelosi. The Justice Department charging documents show that there were many far-right conspiracy theories surrounding the incident.

A number of state and federal crimes were committed by DePape. He denied all state charges. He is still waiting to enter a plea in federal court.

Paul Pelosi had surgery to repair a skull injury, but he is still in the hospital.
