The Freedom of the City of London will be given to Kane.
The City of London Corporation said that the 29-year-old was given the award for his outstanding sporting achievements.
The footballer will receive the award in January.
Kane and his family were proud of it.
He said it was an honor to be recognised by his hometown.
Kane was nominated by the policy chairman and his deputy.
He scored from the penalty spot in a friendly against Germany in September to become only the second Englishman to score 51 goals for his country.
As Kane prepares to lead England at the World Cup in November, news of the Freedom comes as well.
Kane was promoted to the senior squad when he was 16 years old.
He has won a number of awards including the Young Player of the Year from the Professional Footballers' Association.
Prince William gave him an award for services to football.
Freedoms are believed to have been given out since 1237 and are a way for the corporation to thank individuals for their contribution to London or public life.
They used to allow recipients to herd livestock across the bridge.
As recently as September, this ancient right was carried out in support of the country's sheep farmers and wool industry.
